O escritor aguedense Manuel Alegre é o vencedor do Prémio Camões 2017, foi revelado na passada quinta-feira, dia 8 de Junho, na Biblioteca Nacional do Rio de Janeiro, após reunião do júri.
Manuel Alegre, de 81 anos, disse ter recebido a notícia com “serenidade e alegria”, considerando que o reconhecimento maior é o dos seus leitores.
O escritor disse que lhe dá “particular satisfação”, a atribuição do prémio, porque Luís de Camões é um dos poetas que aprecia, e lembrou ter reeditado, recentemente, o seu livro “Vinte Poemas para Camões”.
